Ambassador Pattarat and Muaythai World Champion Somratsamee on Slovak TV !

On 24 September 2025 H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand and Somratsamee, Muaythai Rajadamnern World Series Champion were featured on Slovakia TV Markíza's Morning Show 'Teleráno' to promote Muaythai and tourism in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the hometown of Somratsamee.

Ambassador Pattarat explained that Muaythai is a national sport of Thailand and a unique cultural art that teaches discipline and respect. Muaythai receives global recognition, with the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) receiving recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Somratsamee shared her memorable journey of Muaythai and emphasized her unwavering determination to support and take good care of her family which led to her great success today.

Somratsamee and her colleague, Paka, from Manop Gym, Chiang Mai, Thailand, also performed a demonstration of the traditional Wai Kru (paying respect to teachers) ritual and some key Muaythai techniques. The show's hosts, Lucia Hlavackova and Matus Krncok, were invited to try some punches and kicks, making for an engaging segment.
