Ambassador of Thailand Joins ASEAN Vienna Committee in Discussions with CTBTO Executive Secretary

On February 12, 2025, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand, together with ASEAN Ambassadors in Vienna and representatives, under the ASEAN Vienna Committee (AVC), held discussions with Dr. Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

The AVC and the Executive Secretary discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between CTBTO and ASEAN in various areas, particularly the role of CTBTO in regional security cooperation, including collaboration within the framework of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), training and capacity-building initiatives, efforts to promote the universalization of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and paths to enhance ASEAN’s role in addressing key issues within the mission of the CTBTO.
