Ambassador of Thailand exchanged views with Mayor of Linz for the development of an environmentally friendly industrial city

On 27 March 2025, Ambassador Pattarat Hongtong met with Mr. Dietmar Prammer, Mayor of Linz. Both sides discussed on Linz's successful transition from an industrial hub to an environmentally sustainable smart city enabling residents to live harmoniously with industrial zones through digital systems and innovations in energy, public services, and transportation. They explored opportunities in forging collaboration with Thai provinces, particularly in industrial areas, to achieve carbon neutrality goals as well as possibilities for the Thai personnels to be trained or work in Linz's IT sector and learn of Europe’s best practices. In addition, both parties discussed ways to promote cultural cooperation through encouraging Thai artists to participate in the Ars Electronica festival, a prominent global media arts event.
