Thailand assumes the Chairmanship of the 63rd Session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee (STSC) under UNCOPUOS
On 2 February 2026, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations and International Organizations in Vienna, attended the 63rd Session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee (STSC) of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), held from 2 – 13 February 2026 at Vienna Internagional Center, Vienna
We extended our warmest congratulations to Dr. Pakorn Apaphant, Executive Director of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), on his appointment as the Chair of the STSC. This appointment reflects the international trust in Thailand to lead the global discussions on space development and also strengthens Thailand’s standing in the international space technology sector.
