Buddhist Ceremony in Observance of the 50th Day of the Passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother

On 12 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Vienna invited four monks from Wat Yarnsangworn Vienna and Wat Thai-Austria Dhammaram Vienna, for a Buddhist ceremony in observance of the 50th day of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to Austria. The Officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, together with members of the Thai community in Vienna, participated in the chanting of the Abhidhamma, offered alms to the monk, and engaged in meditation to dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

On this occasion, the Dynamics, a Thai youth chorus group from the VoiZe Academy Bangkok, who was invited by the City of Vienna to sing at the city’s Christmas festivals, also attended this ceremony and later on performed a short repertoire dedicated in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
