Merit-Making Ceremony to Mark the Centennial Celebration of the Legacy of Queen Rambhai Barni, the Queen of the Seventh Reign
On 21 May 2026, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to Austria, led the officers and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, and the Thai Community in Vienna, in a merit-making ceremony for Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni, the Queen Consort of King Rama VII, at Wat Yansangvorn, Vienna.
The Royal Thai Governent celebrated one century in the royal title of Queen Consort for Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni on 25 February 2026. The United Nations Education, Science, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted a resolution on 13 November 2025 recognising and honouring Her Majesty’s contributions to education, sustainable development and gender equality on this centennial celebration.
