On 3 February 2025, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Austria, presented the copie d’usage of Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Nikolaus Marschik, Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs of Austria.

During the meeting, Ambassador-designate Hongtong highlighted Thailand’s strategic location as a regional hub and identified innovation, environment, and sustainable development as potential areas of cooperation with Austria. Both sides are pleased that the 1^st Meeting of Thailand-Austria Political Consultations will be held on 27 February 2025 in Bangkok. Secretary General Marschik emphasized that Austria’s economic diversification policy is an opportunity to expand trade volume and investment between the two countries. The topics of discussion also included various regional and international issues.

On this occasion, Ambassador-designate Hongtong presented to Secretary General Marschik the book titled “6^th Cycle Year of the Dragon” published to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6^th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28 July 2024. The book provides information on many parts of Thailand’s modern history and culture.
