H.E. Miss Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Vienna, presented her credentials to Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
On 25 February 2025, Miss Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Vienna, presented her credentials to Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Both sides expressed determination to enhance the longstanding close cooperation between Thailand and UNDC in various areas such as Alternative Development, improvement of living conditions of people in custody, the use of sports as a tool for crime prevention, the adoption of a draft cybercrime convention, border management to counter illegal trafficking as well as related meetings including the 11th Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice: UN Crime Congress.
On this occasion, Ambassador Pattarat reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to work closely with UNODC and the UNODC Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, to emphasize Thailand’s proactive and constructive roles in the areas relevant to UNODC’S mandate.
