Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand visited Andritz Hydro to expand green energy cooperation

On 27 March 2025, Ambassador Pattarat Hongtong of Thailand visited the Andritz Hydro GmbH in Linz, Austria. During her visit, she discussed with Mr. Alexander Bihimayer, Vice President of Business Development, and Mr. Markus Schneeberger, Chief Technology Officer, to advance Thailand's sustainable energy strategy. Ambassador Hongtong commended the company's longstanding collaboration with Thailand, particularly with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and its contribution to Thailand's hydropower projects such as the Bhumibol and Rajjaprabha dams.

Ambassador Hongtong also highlighted Thailand's interest in expanding rural electricity access through small-scale hydropower and its growing focus on green hydrogen technology. She encouraged Andritz Hydro to explore further investment opportunities in Thailand across their core sectors, including hydropower and pulp and paper technologies.
