On 1 April 2025, Ambassador Pattarat Hongtong visited and signed the book of condolences at the Embassy of Myanmar in Vienna, following the devasting earthquake on 28 March 2025 with the epicenter in Myanmar.

“On behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vienna, I would like to extend my deepest condolences for the tragic loss of life and devastation caused by the earthquake in Myanmar on 28 March 2025. Thailand has also received strong effects from such incident resulted in severe damages, dead and missing ones. As we share devastation and sorrow, our heartfelt sympathies go out to Myanmar for the families who have lost their loved ones and to all those affected by this disaster. We stand in solidarity with the people of Myanmar in this very difficult time.”
