Volunteer Activity: Donation Drive to Support Flood Relief Efforts in Southern Thailand
On the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day, and Father’s Day (5 December 2025), the Royal Thai Embassy invited the Thai communities in Austria, Slovakia, and Slovenia to support flood victims in Southern Thailand by donating through the Thai Red Cross Society. Donations were collected during the National Day Reception on 2 December 2025 at Hotel Vienna Marriot and during the Buddhist Ceremony in Observance of the 50th Day of the Passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on 12 December 2025 at the Thai Residence.
A total donation of 415 EUR, or approx. 15,355 THB was raised. The fund was transferred to the Thai Red Cross’s Flood Relief Project on 23 December 2025 to provide urgent assistance to those affected by the flood in the southern provinces.
On this occasion, the Embassy wishes to express sincere appreciation to the Thai Communities in Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia for kind participation and generous contributions. The valuable support demonstrates the unity and the enduring spirit of the Thai community abroad in doing good deed for others, carrying forth the royal legacy of selfless service for charitable causes.
