Ambassador Sriswasdi visited Slovenia and paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Samuel Žbogar, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, on the occasion of the completion of her tenure.

On 15 November 2022, Ambassador Sriswasdi visited Slovenia and paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Samuel Žbogar, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, on the occasion of the completion of her tenure.

Both sides agreed to promote bilateral relations between the two countries, especially through exchange of high-level visits in the framework of political and economic cooperation mechanisms. 

Both sides also discussed the plan to conclude bilateral agreement on VISA exemption, cooperation in the UN frameworks as well as exchanged views on how to further promote relations between Slovenia and Southeast Asia. 

Thailand was the 1st country in ASEAN to establish diplomatic relations with Slovenia, on 9 September 1992, and has enjoyed cordial relations ever since. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Slovenia.
