Termination of Visa Application by Post
The Royal Thai Embassy hereby announces that, for security reasons, the Embassy will no longer accept visa application by post from 31 March 2016 onwards.
From 1 April 2016, visa applicants must submit their applications in person at the Royal Thai Embassy (Cottagegasse 48, 1180, Vienna).
Applicants who cannot come to the embassy in person may entrust other persons to hand in the application on their behalf. Please ensure that all required documents are provided and the application form duly completed and signed.
However, the return of passport by post is still available. Those who wish to have their passports returned by post must inform the consular officer accordingly when submitting the application. The applicant must also provide an envelope with affixed stamp (with value of 5 Euro), clearly labeled with name and address. The embassy will not, in any way, be held responsible for any loss or damage caused by the post service.
The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to ask for further documents and reject any visa application without giving justification.
