Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand discussed cooperation to promote Thai handicraft products to the European market
On 25 March 2025, Ambassador Pattarat Hongthong of Thailand visited Lobmeyr, a renowned crystal factory in Vienna, and met with Mr. Christophe and Ms. Nicola Rath, heirs of the Lobmeyr and owners of the Meisterstrasse platform. Meisterstrasse is an international hub for showcasing high-end handicraft products from Austria and Asia, including Thailand. The discussions focused on strategies to promote Thai handicrafts in the European market.
The Ambassador expressed her delight at the interest Austrian and European markets have shown in Thai handicrafts. She proposed fostering collaboration between Meisterstrasse and the SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Center of Thailand (Public Organization) to feature Thai handicrafts on the platform including organizing joint activities in Thailand and Austria to further enhance cultural exchange and market visibility.
