Thai Ambassador Participates in “Discovering Thailand Day” at the Children’s University of Economics in Bratislava, Promoting Knowledge and Understanding of Thailand among Slovak Youth
On 22 July 2026, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to the Slovak Republic, with residence in Vienna, delivered the opening remarks at the "Discover Thailand Day", held as part of the "Around the World with DEU 2026" summer camp organized by the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA).
During the programme, Ambassador Pattarat introduced Thailand from three key perspectives, its political landscape, economic development, and social fabric, while highlighting the country's progress and growing role in the international community. The presentation aimed to provide participating students, aged 11 to 18, with a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of Thailand.
Participants also learned about Thailand's role within geopolitical and economic landscape of Southeast Asia. They were further introduced to Thailand's rich cultural heritage through authentic Thai cuisine, generously supported by Mr. Alexander Rozin Jr., Honorary Consul of Thailand to Slovakia in Bratislava, as well as a Muaythai demonstration. These activities offered the students an engaging opportunity to experience the uniqueness of Thai culture first-hand.
The Royal Thai Embassy sincerely appreciates the University of Economics in Bratislava for organizing this meaningful activity. By broadening young people's perspectives and fostering greater awareness of Thailand, the event also contributed to strengthening mutual understanding and the longstanding friendship between the peoples of Thailand and the Slovak Republic.
