On 27 August 2021, Ambassador Sriswasdi was invited by Mr. Georg Weber-Unger, CEO of Anita Company, a leading Austrian company in lingerie and swimwear businesses who has an important investment in Thailand for more than 15 years. The visit includes both the company’s logistics center in Kufstein (Tyrol), Austria and the factory in Brannenburg (Bavaria), Germany which hosts the design, production as well as R&D departments. Mr. Weber-Unger and the management team also briefed Ambassador Sriswasdi about Anita’s investment in Thailand, Myanmar as well as their business partnership in the region (China and Vietnam). Both sides also discussed challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and the company’s future investment plans. Currently, Anita is in the process of expanding their investment and production in Thailand to be used as the base for its markets in other Asian countries. The plan includes human resources development, production capacity, machinery, as well as research and development. Anita’s factory in Thailand was founded in 2006, in Chonburi Province.
