The Royal Thai Embassy organised a volunteer activity at the Caritas Foundation’s Day-care Centre at Vienna’s Main Train Station on the occasion of the National Day of Thailand 2021
H.E. Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy participated in a volunteer activity by providing Thai food lunch for approximately 120 homeless people at the Caritas Foundation’s Day-care Centre at Vienna’s Main Train Station (Tageszentrum der Caritas am Wiener Hauptbahnhof). This volunteer activity was held on the occasion of the National Day of Thailand 2021, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and Thailand’s Father Day. The Caritas Foundation Day-care Centre provides services to the homeless people in Vienna, most came from eastern European countries. They can use the Centre’s facility for resting, having a meal, taking a shower, washing their clothes. The Centre also provide advice on how they could cease to be a homeless person. The Centre operates daily from 8 – 18 hrs all year round. The voluntary activity was conducted by strictly observing the hygienic measures for COVID-19 of the Federal Government of Austria.
