On 19 December 2022, H.E. Mrs. Vilawan Mangklatanakul, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Vienna, presented her credentials to Mr. Dennis Thatchaichawakit, Deputy Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Acting Director-General of UNOV and Director of Management Division of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The UNODC side appreciates Thailand’s constructive role in various key areas relevant to UNODC’s mandate, such as Alternative Development, cooperation against Transnational Organised Crimes and the supports provided through the UNODC Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, which is one of UNODC’s largest and most important regional offices in the world.
In this connection, the Deputy Director-General of UNOV also extended UNODC’s best wishes, on behalf of Director-General of UNOV, for a speedy recovery to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Vienna and UNODC’s Goodwill Ambassador on the Rule of Law for Southeast Asia.
