On the Occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother (12 August 2023), the Royal Thai Embassy organised a volunteer activity at the Caritas Foundation’s Donation and Distribution Centre in Vienna

On 9 August 2023, H.E. Ambassador Vilawan Mangklatanakul together with officials, staffs and Team Thailand of the Royal Thai Embassy donated necessary food supplies including canned vegetables and foods, dried foods and condiments, to the Caritas Foundation in Vienna under the Lebensmittel und Orientierung (Le+O) programme. On this occasion, the Thai Delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Georg Engel, Head of Le+O Project and Ms. Simone Aicher, Le+O Fundraising officer who expressed their appreciation for the Royal Thai Embassy’s support and donation.

Caritas Foundation is a social aid organisation, founded with its mission to alleviate the suffering of poor and vulnerable peoples such as homeless, single mothers, elderly people, low-income pensionists and migrants. The Caritas Foundation initiated the Le+O project in November 2009 to call for necessary supplies and distribute them to help those most in need. Currently, the Foundation has 13 Donation and Distribution Centres in Vienna and 3 Centers in Lower Austria with more than 700 volunteers.
