Permanent Representative of Thailand held discussions with Ms. Fatou Haidara, UNIDO Deputy to the Director-General

On 24 February 2025, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongthong, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), discussed with Ms. Fatou Haidara, UNIDO Deputy Director-General, responsible for global partnerships and external relations. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of close coordination between the relevant agencies as well as promoting UNIDO’s mission in Thailand for sustainable industrial development aligning with the national policies on food efficiency, renewable and clean energy, and emissions reduction. She also highlighted potential for expanded collaboration through South-South and Triangular Cooperation. In this regard, Ms. Haidara reaffirmed UNIDO’s commitment to strengthen partnership with Thailand. The Deputy Director-General schedules to visit to Thailand in March 2025 to enhance collaboration and support Thailand in achieving sustainable industrial development goals that along with the country’s requirements.
