On 17 October 2025, on the occasion of the memorial days of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX) on 13 October 2025 and His Majesty King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V) on 23 October 2025, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to Austria, together with officials and staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy, participated in the volunteer activity by providing Thai food lunch for approximately 150 people at the food distribution centre of the Samariterbund Foundation in Vienna.
The Samariterbund is an Austrian social welfare foundation and healthcare organization. It operates low-cost markets and food distribution centres for low-income persons. Furthermore, the Samariterbund also provides assistance to vulnerable groups, migrants, and people in need, by arranging accommodation and offering various consultations. The foundation is also a major provider of ambulance and emergency patient transport services in Vienna.
