On 1-2 September 2021, Ambassador Sriswasdi attended the 16th Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) under the main topic “Future of Europe” in Bled, Slovenia. Many high-level representatives participated in the said event, such as Heads of State (Slovenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina); Heads of Government (Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Czechia, Slovakia, Greece, Serbia, Albania, Poland, Kosovo, North Macedonia; President of the EU Council, President of the European Parliament, EU Commissioners; Foreign Ministers (India, Portugal etc.). A number of Governors of Central Bank, Heads of International Financial Institutions; private sector; academia also attended the event.
Ambassador Sriswasdi had the opportunity to talk with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, the Foreign Minister of Slovenia, the President of the Management Board of the Port of Koper (Slovenia) and other representatives of participating countries. She attended many panel discussions on security-related strategy as well as economic challenge, including maritime security (i.e. Three Seas Initiative, migration), connectivity, recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, influences of China and Russia in Europe, enlargement of the EU membership, and partnership for a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific, among others.
Ambassador Sriswasdi also took the opportunity to visit some Thai nationals who work in a Thai massage center and restaurant in Bled to listen to their problems, challenges faced, and provided relevant information and guidance on the issues of their interest.
