Ambassador Sriswasdi and the delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy visited iSi Automotive GmbH

On 8 Nov. 2021, Ambassador Sriswasdi and the delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy visited iSi Automotive GmbH, a leading Austrian company on airbag system production, with a factory in Thailand (Chonburi Province), employing more than 2,000 Thai workers.

The delegation was briefed by (1) Mr. Christian C. Pochtler, Chairman and the owner (5th generation) of the company and (2) Mr. Hendrik Hasch, CEO, on the history and development of the firm, as well as its decision to invest in Thailand since 2011, making the site in Thailand the biggest factory of the Group. Mrs. Claudia Beermann, CFO, and Mr. Andreas Wagner, Managing-Director also attended the meeting.

The briefing was also followed by the visit of the production site in Vienna, guided by Mr. Andreas Wagner, Managing-Director and plant manager.

Airbags produced by iSi Automotive are widely used by leading car makers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Ford, Rolls-Royce, among others.
