On 18 May 2022, Ambassador Sriswasdi hosted a meeting between Thai relevant authorities, comprising of senior representatives, researchers and experts from the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS); and executives from the Austrian Research Center for Pharmaceutical Engineering (RCPE), a global leader in pharmaceutical engineering sciences, namely, Prof. Dr. Johannes Khinast, CEO & Scientific Director, and Dr. Thomas Klein, CEO & Business Director.
Both sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of scientific and pharmaceutical engineering research, development of pharmaceutical industry as well as other related scientific and technology development and the exchange of students/researchers between the two countries. Both sides also agreed on the exchange of visits to further study research projects in Austria and Thailand, with a view to enhance cooperation in specific areas of mutual interest in the near future.
