Ambassador Sriswasdi paid a farewell call on the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna

On 29 November 2022, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi paid a farewell call on Ms. Ghada Waly, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) upon the completion of her tenure as Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Vienna. The two sides discussed ways and means to promote cooperation between Thailand and UNODC on various fields such as drugs control, transnational organized crime, border management and the fight against corruption.

In this regard, the Director-General/Executive Director reaffirmed her intention to continue cooperation with Thailand on important projects and initiatives such as Alternative Development both in Thailand and in the region, the establishment of the International Drugs Control College in Thailand, UNODC works on crimes that affect the environment, the elaboration of a convention to counter ICT crimes, and the Women in/for Justice initiative.
