On 6 January 2023, H.E. Mrs. Vilawan Mangklatanakul, Ambassador and Resident Representative of Thailand to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) presented her credentials to Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the IAEA.

At the meeting, Thailand and IAEA expressed the shared views and commitment to continue their good partnerships and cooperations in the nuclear for peaceful uses agenda. Both sides also discussed on enhancing cooperations in several of the Agency’s important initiatives where Thailand could play a leading role in connecting the Agency’s works to the region in support of the development agenda such as the Zoonotic Disease Integration Action (ZODIAC) and Rays of Hope: Cancer Care for All.
